Small-Batch by Design: Inside Our Kitchen
April 17, 2026 · 3 min read
Industrial skincare is made in reactors measured in tons. Ours is made in a kitchen, in steel pots, in batches small enough that one person watches every stage.
Slow rendering matters. Tallow rushed at high heat scorches — it darkens, and its vitamins degrade. We render low and slow for hours, filter twice, and whip the finished tallow with cold-pressed oils while it cools, which is what gives our creams their texture.
Every batch is numbered by hand on the base of the jar. If you ever want to know when yours was made and from which farm the tallow came, write to us with the number — we can tell you.
Small-batch isn't a marketing word for us. It's the only way to make this product properly, and we'd rather stay small than make it any other way.
